Terms of Service

The short version

Use Scriptless for your own writing. Do not use it to cheat anyone or to break the law. We do our best to keep it running, but we cannot promise it is perfect. You keep the rights to your own words.

Who runs Scriptless

Scriptless is operated by Yehonatan Lavi Oz, based in Israel. It is run by one person, not a company, and that person answers the email. You can reach me at hello@scriptless.co.

Using Scriptless

By using scriptless.co you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. You need to be at least 16 to have an account.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your sign in link and password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has got in. One account per person, and accounts are not for sharing or reselling.

Free use and limits

There is a free tier with a word limit, and there may be paid plans with higher limits. We can change those limits, and we will tell account holders before a change that makes things worse for them. We may pause or limit an account that is clearly being used to abuse the service.

Your writing stays yours

You keep every right you had in the text you paste in, and in what comes back out. We claim no ownership of it. We only need permission to process it so we can give you the result.

If you are signed out, that permission ends when the run is done. If you are signed in, your History keeps the first 5,000 characters of each run so you can find it again, and that permission lasts until you delete the entry or close your account. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is kept and for how long.

What you must not do

• Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
• Submit someone else's work as your own where that is against the rules that apply to you, such as your school or university policy.
• Submit content that is illegal, hateful, or targets a private person.
• Try to break, overload, or reverse engineer the service, or get around its limits.
• Resell the output as your own competing service.

Schoolwork

Plenty of people use Scriptless on essays. Every school, college, and university sets its own rules on what help is allowed, and those rules are yours to follow, not ours to decide. Check them. Using Scriptless does not make something permitted, and we are not responsible for what your institution decides.

What the tool does and does not promise

Scriptless rewrites text to read more like a person wrote it. We do not guarantee any particular score from any third party checking tool, and we do not guarantee that a result will go unnoticed anywhere. Anyone claiming a guarantee like that is selling you something. The service is provided as is.

Payment

Paid plans are not open yet. When they are, the price and the billing period will be shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, you can cancel at any time, and cancelling stops the next charge and leaves you on the plan until the period you already paid for runs out.

Payments will be handled by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record. In plain terms Paddle is the seller on the receipt, which is why Paddle appears on your card statement rather than Scriptless. It also means refund decisions are theirs. The whole of it is set out in the refund policy.

Ending things

You can stop using Scriptless and ask us to delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and where it is reasonable we will tell you why first.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Scriptless is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here removes a right you have that cannot legally be removed.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and material changes will be flagged to account holders by email. Carrying on using the service after a change means you accept it.
